Old (96ish) blades seem to be popular with those baggy-trousered americans.... I expect there's a reason for that. How about a BMX?

can you make them road legal? the plan was to get something like a cbr 600f so i could practice on that then move on to the r1 when i have stopped crashing!

Early Bandit 1200...You need the torque....You`ll be dumping the clutch a lot on a 600...
Can be picked up for around £1500...and are top for a novice...Strong engines too...and indestructable with engine bars....

not that bothered about dumping the clutch ,i clutch up all my wheelies even first gear ones. but not a bad idea about a bandit unless i drop it on myself

re-gear a Bandit 600?!?

Should provide enough to start on and lighter than a Bandit 12.

Quite a lot of Trials bikes for adult riders are road registered these days as trials such as the Scott trial and the Scottish six days Trial include "roadwork". Disney Studios in France use a Gas Gas although they don't use it to its potential. Most have lights (including brake lights) so it's worthwhile checking out your local Trials dealer. Year old bikes can get as low as £1500 but a decent bike will be about £2000 to £2500. Cheaper bikes at about a Grand should do the job. The Beta Techno, Gas Gas TXT series and Montesa 315 are good buys.

Another alternative is something like a kx500 like I've got. They're originally crossers but you can road register them as mine is. You can pick these up for about 500 quid and people have changed the knobbly tyres for road tyres to give you a motard type this which is my plan for mine eventually. This should be one of the easiest things to stunt I would have thought although have no experience and there's not much to smash up and you'll have the advantage that you can initially play around off road which should hurt slightly less.

Regards,

Mark

Mate runs one of the wheely schools, uses Fazer 600's.Stripped down, they are indestructable, and very revvy.Good fun, and cheap.

Why don't you use your mum's C90 - you could break the Rickman fairing off it load some bricks in the top box and it will be siiic !
