I'm selling my Griff

Due to the recent arrival of my baby daughter Caitlin I have decided with much regret to sell my 95 Griff 500. I’ve had some great times in the car Le-mans, track days, club drive outs etc. I have also met some great people along the way the social side of TVR ownership is truly fantastic, I hope these friendships will continue when I’m no longer part of the TVR family.
Over the years I have modified and up rated critical areas of the vehicle, Act induction, Nitron dampers, SE 16 inch front wheels, larger Brakes Mintex 1144 pads etc. I’ve checked the prices of advertised cars and have found that modified cars do not attract a premium when sold indeed in some cases the mods actually lead to a lower the asking price. With this in mind I will be retuning the car to stock specification so checkout the Pistonheads classifieds for full details of the parts available.
The car itself will be on sale in the near future when it is back to std spec and as had it’s interior tidied up new carpets fitted.
I will be genuinely sorry to see this wonderful car go to another owner but when the sprog is a little bigger I’d like to think her baby seat will find it’s way into the back of a Cerebera and the TVR adventure can continue.

Sorry fella, I can appreciate your predicament - mine`s in the classifieds aswell, and for the same reason. I can attest that if you can afford to keep it for a while, a baby seat will fit. My little chap is 18 months now and loves the noisy car ("vvrrmm", but credit has caught up and it`s got to go. I`m chuffed I`ve held on so long, try to do the same?

I would love to keep the car, but life sort of overtakes you and even with the best intentions the car sits in a garage unused, I really hope that the near future will bring a clean Cerb that is better suited to small people.

Sold my 400SE a while back for exactly the same reason. Have to be brutally honest here but with the little un on the scene I don't miss the car one bit. I have had some superb cars though since I was about 21 so cant complain ...

Surely the answer is to pop to your local auction and get an ex-lease Mondeo for £1K to ferry said sprog in?

Already have the run about Passat TDi, the problem comes when we need to go somewhere as a family, nowhere for the sprog to sit in the Griff and the wifes not happy in the boot.. So we take the VW and the Griff sits in the garage unused, I had wanted to make the Griff into a road legal trackday car, but it's just too much cash to have tied up in what is essentially a big toy. So I've bought an old Nissan 200Sx to make into a trackday tool (it’s proving very easy to tune and surprisingly quick). All in all it’s a matter of having the right tools for the job at hand, and no matter how you dress it up the Griff doesn’t make an ideal family car.

I understand that it has been known for a tow hitch to be fitted, so if the wife objects to the boot how about popping her in a trailer where she would have a lot more room.
