Looks like I have to face it my wife is ignorant about all that relates to cars. I could understand it if she didn't want to get in the thing because she would come out smelling of petrol or was worried about getting stuck on some isolated B road in the middle of the night, but she tells me she doesn't like the chim because it looks too old! Looks like I may have to trade-in the wife soon

Hmmmn,

too expensive to trade in wife - been there, done that!

Try a bit of sand-bagging - take her for a meal, book you both a holdiay somewhere exotic, buy her a car (something fast but reliable and economical - I bought mine a Seat Ibiza TDi sport, but try a Fabia vRS) and then shout "keep the TVR!"

If she won't wear the TDi route, challenge her to a fast drive along a real nice bumpy, twisty bit of road - she'll be amzed when she keeps up with the TVR ('spose that depends on how hard you try in the TVR though...!) hehe

Apparently she will let me get a Sagaris as they apparently look more "classic" but one can only dream!

I was expecting this to be:

My wife hates my car...

Should I divorce her straight, or trade up to a younger model...

she's rite, imo the chim and griff look well dated. I'd rather drive a vauxhall tigra :-).

no offence intended

Ridiculous comment on a Chimaera forum.

They have barely aged at all. I think the only thing that dates them are the small wheels.

Reckon the whole thread is a wind up.

Anyone who would rather drive a Tigra is just trolling and any bloke who listens to his wife about boy things is so far under the thumb he's not worth bothering with.

Boys just know about cars, DIY, football, beer, how to get spiders out of the bath, etc. It is not something women should involve themselves with!

Thank you boys. But cmon, in the era of tams, t350's and sags the old school tvr's just dont look good. As one griff owner said to me whilst we were at torque RVT (re my tam) "In 10 yrs time your car will look like mine" LOL.

That's what I'm thinking, either that of trolling. Utterly pointless activity.
