Bought my first set of boots
Discussion
Well I already had my Gloves and Corsair helmet and was told to wear a goot set of non metal tow cabp boots or traners are acceptable for my CBT and DAS. thought sod it, I'll need boots at somepoint so got myself a set of Alphinstars s-mx boots in black. it was that or hein-gericke TRG GORE RALLYE BOOTs. once i tryed both I just knew that the Alphinestars felt great to wear and if it rains I got my waterproof socks.
How have PH'er got on with Alphinestars boots and the S-mx range

I have a pair of inherited S-MX's from a mate who gave up road riding. They're very very very good.
I've worn them over the last twelve months in everything you can imagine, and after a trip up the A1 where my hands were blue all weekend (dye from the gloves, rather than pure cold), my tootsies were perfect.
Small criticisms:
the leather on the inside ankle wrinkles, and will not polish up properly.
The bloody sales/support staff wont give Square Mile another set of the heel plates to replace mine. Its just too much fun at 1+ leptons to drag the heels...
Overall: Good Choice.

I brought some smx-3s a few years ago.
Been used as my main boot, for ride outs, track days, rain, commuting etc etc.
Tread is starting to wear off the bottom now though.
Been fantastic boots, very comfy easy to walk with but support a lot to. Easy to put on, albeit the stiching holding the zip on look like they are coming away.
