Out for a run with a mate on board last night, came up behind a Carrera (not sure exactly which model)
He decided to try and lose me down a nice long undulating straight on a b-road.
I don't think he was expecting his mirrrors to be full of Cerbera front end all the way
It's the first time since i got the car that anyone with a half-decent car has had a go and I'm very impressed with the result! It's quite difficult to gauge how fast the Cerb actually is when you're not driving it against something.
I felt that i was practically cruising and the porsche was holding me up! He had the pedal to the metal, tearing down the dotted line.
My passenger had his eyes shut

A mate of mine has recently bought a Carrera 2 and whilst I'm not really into road racing......
Coming onto a stretch of open dual carriageway we find ourselves poddling along at about a ton side by side and he guns it.
I drop down to third and floor it, the look on his face as he goes rapidly backwards -
priceless!

no offence, but i would've been surprised if you couldnt of kept up...
depending on the actual model - with Carrera on the boot, your talking about 300bhp in a 1400kg car...
I'm pretty sure the Cerbera is 350bhp in a lighter car?

I think that is well done. I have had 2 plays with porkers.
1) a 996 turbo started to pull away from me at 185 on a bumby road abroad - before that it was hard to gauge who was the fastesr. On a smooth road I am sure I would have been faster.
2) Following a gayman on a sweeping bend - I had no problems staying with him but his car seemed to be flatter than mine through the bend. So think it was easier for him!

yeah, dont get me wrong - i have a Carrera 2, and they are by no means slow...
but yes, you had a distinct power to weight advantage

I had a tussle with a 996 Turbo, up a long straight hill, all the way up to 100 he was up my chuff-- once i had hit 160, he had sailed off the back somewhat.
and to compare that to an Evo, he was up my bum till i had stopped wheelspinnig in 2nd-- then was rapidly sailing off the back as i went through third-- once i hit 4th he was s speck in the distance.
The Cerb is a very fast car
