Ash, where's your engine mate, nothing under the bonnet but space? scratchchin

I thought your engine was going to be running on dyno?

I came over to say hello, but couldn't get a word in edgeways so gave up in the end.

Last minute hiccup, wrong part turned up! plus the 4000gallon tank for the engine dyno got delayed. I only just found out yesterday.
You couldnt get a word in??? you should have butted in! you were one man I defintely wanted to have a good old banter with!!!! especially as you're one of the few who has followed the project soo attentivly!

Its empty in there until the engine drops in - in a couple of weeks, and then all the rads/coolers are plugged in etc, then its off to get a new chrome-molly chassis made up to facilitate the locations of all the new component brackets etc. Pauls going to do his best to get the whole thing running as soon as is humanly possible.... I'm confident we should have a running article by november... also need to get the custom carbon bonnet designed up once the engine goes in (yup the existing peice is not the final thing), also the carbon front side splitters need to get attached and the flush mount front grill and side grills need building.... hopefully get all these things done in parallel...

i dont think that a fair picture of Ash, there is no tin of beer in hand

Sorry Ash had to post this. Nice to talk to you today, Car is looking cool, will have to get good colour on this one, and not Crome! I have to say, the Orange that Ford are using at the moment on the Focus is quite nice.

BIG thanks to Paul for keeping his word, and returning my car to me all repaired, just need to run it in now.

Agreed! It really just needs colour, lights properly fitted and the proper bonnet and grills.
But I cant do any of that, until the engine and ancillaries are all fitted in
At least I'm sharing the stages.... but like someone said, she wont look anything like this when she's finished.... imagine an empty out in primer and no body detail - shell of any car with just wheels.... thats what she is currently.

Great pics, great turn-out, I didn't stay long as had to get into London and back home to Surrey again but enjoyed the blat through the city. Just wish I had plucked up enough courage to say hello to more people than I did.....next time maybe....

I have some. They'll be available later today.

Just deciding whether to wade through them all obscuring numberplates or just 'sod it' and put them up as is.
