Cerberas on autotrader

Hi!

Does anyone have any comments/further info on a cerbera which is for sale on autotrader? It is a '97 4.2 with 31k miles (cat D) and is priced at £8995. Looking the pics, intake tubes etc look a bit different I've seen?? Are they normal or has it been modified? I'll give the seller a call and ask about service history etc and if they are ok, I'll go and have a look at the car. Usually low price means that something is wrong with the car, but you never know... Seller has also another, 4.5 '98, which is reasonably priced at £11950.

Depends what you rate car's on the "VCAR" register at.

Personally I rate them at 50 o/o off normal, but 33 o/o seems to be the going rate.

those intake pipes are from a 4.5

i wouldn't say they were headaches. - if you check the history and see photos of the previous damage and work done to correct, you might find you're on to a winner.

I must agree with this one. I personally don't have problem if car has been repaired well. My intention is to buy one I like and want and then take it with me when I move back home or some other country. So If car is the one I really think is worth buying, I will go for it. Only thing worrying me is possible resale in case that I cannot export it.

As far as the car goes I wouldn't worry.

Someone tearing the fibreglass nose of a Cerb can class it as a recorded D, purely cosmetic damage.

The only issue I can see with them is a reduced market when it comes to resale, however this will only be limited by the price you advertise at as drop it low enough and you will find a buyer.
