Hi Guys and Gals,

I'm about to purchase a TVR t350 or tamora, previously owned a Golf Gti Anni edition which fitted with ease into the garage.

Now the question is will I be able to fit the TVR? The garage is 2100mm I've done my research and think the TVR is 1860mm. Bearing in mind my previous car was 1760mm am I gona av probs???

Whats the tightest squeeze you lot get into?

PS the garage does get bigger as you get in its just the door i'm worried about.

Thanks in advance!

Just checked - you can save 50mm each side by folding mirrors back if you need to (measured between outer edge of mirrors & widest point of body).

Carpet the walls of the garage first, lay a piece of 3x2 on the floor to drive up to, and paint on the floor where the timber lays.
Sounds a bit geeky, but it has worked for me for 5 years.
I always wanted a cerb, but it was the length of the doors that put me off.

T350s are surprisingly small cars and not that wide either - I thought I may have a problem fitting it into my garage after my VX220 but if anything it's a little easier

I find that the my Tamora fits in the garage better than my MR2 Mk2 T-bar. The Tamora must be shorter than the MR2. Usefull to put carpets on the walls to stop the door from getting scratched by the garage walls.

My garage is small and I have no problems with the Tamora. Carpets can scratch paint. fwiw, I use thick foam underlay, drivers side only, on the relevant area.

Thanks for the tip but am i being thick! How does the timber stop you from catching the sides.

What a coincidence! The previous occupant of our garage was a MR2 Mk2, current occupant Tamora. I have around 3 inches clearance between garage doors/wing mirrors, not a problem with either.
