I watched the said program last week (a 3-wheeler Super Sports restoration) and they carried out their 'restoration' without replacing any wood (the car had been stored for 30 years...and all wood was ok...really? What was done was an apparent overhaul of the engine, the wheels were shotblasted and powder-coated, new seats made and the body panels were replaced....and suddenly it was gleaming with new chrome and I assume new kingpins (nothing was said about them!) and drive gear.
This show should be called Bodge Squad!

yeah I always take the outcome with a pinch of salt, what about the old Doris who owned it though, what a character! and she has got her grandkids involved. Petrolheads of the future.
