Personal opinion on Reading town centre would be that the best thai bet is Olid Siam www.readingrestaurants.com/art_of_siam/

Went to a very good Thai restaurant in Wokingham if that's not too far. Can't remember what it was called but it was on the main highstreet and i'm guessing the only Thai in the town.

Not sure about Reading. It keeps expanding. Can't keep up with the town or it's one way systems mad

Would have suggested the Caversham one but he did ask for Reading town. By which I presume he means errr Reding.

I think it's time we had another evening out in Reading (as I missed the last one!), and we need to meet/introduce Polus who just moved in around the corner from me in Cav

Sweeney Todds again to start?

yes I'd be keen to come along to that as I missed the last one too. Seems to be quite a concentration of PHers around the Reading area.

I agree that the Art of Siam is about the best Thai.

There is quite a nice one in Twyford too, but can't think of the name. Somthing Elephant maybe!

Haven't been there for over 10 years. I think that was the first eatery I went out in Reading before I moved here!

Have you ever tried the arches? (under railway arches on the eastern side of IDR).

They have the latest licence in Reading (5am IIRC) - often doing deals too.
