Hi all, does anyone know of or maybe stayed at a decent campsite on route? I know there's no doubt many but thought I'd check with you lovely people first!!

The folks are taking the motor home again this year but they wanna leave Tuesday, get into France and stop for the night, meet up with the rest of us Wednesday and complete the journey down, as this year was a long, SLOW slog down, in their 4 / 5 berth. Electric hook-up would be needed too.

Ideally thinking of somewhere around the Rouen area.

Cheers

Run a google search for Municipal campsites in France, these are run by the local councils and are usually really good value for money with good faciliites.

My parents do this every year, they normally stop at Beaumont Sur Sarthe.

Yes its only about half and hour from Le Mans I think, they normally go down the weekend before and stop in the van for a night and then go to the site. I will see if they know any other sites North of Rouen as they normally drive around France for a few weeks after Le Mans.
