A pics from today. Not being equipped with the mega-dustbin style lens I have tried to concentrate on interest rather than technical (that's my excuse and I am sticking to it).

Sorry, should have put a 56k warning in the title.

The patriotism putsAston to shame.

The Spyker is now mainly orange.

David Coulthard is never in the right place at the right time.

Renaults are flippin' quick.

Seen it all before.

Really flippin' quick

All a bit complicated if you're a new boy.

Nothing of the Mclarens or Williamseseses. Mclaren didn't seem to want to play and the Williamssseses kept breaking.

Like 'em, but wondering why the light at the back of the Spyker appears to be green ?

Thank you and, cos it is. They all seem to run flashing green lights, I assume it's a safety thing during testing?

According to the Beeb, McLaren are running Hamilton tomorrow. Think I'll pop along for a look...

Back from a very newsworthy afternoon at Silverstone today.

Spyker made their first public appearance with their new livery:

Frank Montagny had his first Toyato test prior to his contract to be their test driver next year:

Lewis Hamilton made his dbut test in the Mclaren, probably leading to a seat next year, which one though?

Being overtaken by another debutant:

The above debutant, Nelson Piquet Jr:

And a proud father watching on, Nelson Piquet:

For anyone interested, The teams Super Aguri, Spyker, Williams, Toyota, Mclaren and Renault will be at the track for the next 2 days, Weds 20th and thurs 21st, the track opens at 09:00 and running finishes at 17:00. Public access is to the Luffield sections of the track, extending further as and how the marshals see fit, and here is the best bit, entrance is free.

The green light denotes that its a developement car, rather than a regular race/test car, if someone gets a oneoff test they may run a green light too.

The Williams kept breaking down as it was the first run with the new Toyota engine, a lot of Toyota engineers running around the Williams pit.

Lewis Hamilton completed several laps, but enough to keep himunder the 50 KM limit toenable them to call it a shakedown rather than a test, he will however be completinga full days testing tomorrow(weds).
