Driver's Door Locked

I have a bit of a variation on a common problem - the driver's door of the T350 is not opening on the normal release but the passenger door is. As the car is starting with no problems I don't think it is the normal flat battery issue. Also, the internal release (red handle) is not operating so it appears that I have some kind of problem in the lock mechanism. Anybody else had something similar or can offer any potential solutions ?

Check control box in drivers footwell its about 4 inches square just to right of throtal pedel, remove plug if pins are green clean and grease. I think theres a micro switch that may need adjustment near door lock too. Hope this helps.

Also check the connectors to the door mirror, they get water in them.

Thanks for the replies - turns out the lock had got 'confused' as the internal cable had not returned fully after being pulled and the lock could not work out whether to accept the instruction of the external button or the cable. Solution was to remove the panel behind the driver's seat and manually release the lock - which then allowed all the pieces to reset themselves. Seems like a typical TVR problem (and solution) - still puts a smile on my face though.
