I've bought a Dell 2407WFP monitor . . . initial thoughts are that it's very good, albeit I've just traded up from an old (but originally very good also) CRT what was well past it's shelf life . . . wide aspect ratio is very usable, lovely colours, contrast, etc . . . a different world from the much smaller and lower res DELL LCD's I use at work . . . thankfully . . . hopefully it'll last a good few years . . .

I am still working off a 15" Eizo at home, just looking around for the best value I can find on about 20" and with a decent max res. Originally looking at other Eizo's but any other Dell users with recommends (or not)?

I used a variaety of LCS's at work but they are, as I have previously metioned, pretty terrible . . . but they do fine for hacking up code and writing email . . .

I am interested, and perhaps it's worthwhile, to look into this colour calibration thing . . . must see if I can borrow one of these colour calibration things . . . need to do some reading on this . . .

Colour adjustment is all fine and dandy - I use the Gretag Eye One - but a big and reliable screen is what I dream of.......
