Something in my fuel line?

Has anyone got any ideas what this canister could be that is in my fuel line?

If it has no wires feeding it, then probably an old fuel filter (looks it may need replacing), if it has wires feeding it then probably a fuel pump

Is that pipe up to injection pressure? Is it in the return?

Most likely fuel filter, though it looks different to the one on my 350.
Is that pipe kinked? also it does look like airline hose. Is it up to the pressure?
I can see you've copper slipped the brakes nicely

No wires coming from it.

I took it off the car and tiped out the contents what seems like lead particles/material. Could this have been a lead replacement device?

I too thought it could have been a fuel filter at first but there is nothing inside it except to one end there seems like mesh - still confused

Needs to be tie-rapped back in position, that why it's kinked.

No pressure just gravity from the fuel tank.

Copper grease, yes got carried away with it
