Nice Feeling (TVR Owner in 5 years)
Discussion
Have a mate sitting next to me in work who's 12 year old son is a bit of a car nut (even though his dad drives a diesel Audi). Since i started looking for the Chim (8 months ago) he has been perstering his dad on a daily basis for updates of my progress, which colour, engine etc etc, which I duly provided. Well, after picking her up a few weeks ago, as promised i drove up to give him a go in it. Took his pop out first (not too quick), but enough for him to hold on now and again and remark "Christ this is quicker than i thought it would be". Then is was the youngsters turn, well needless to say, he loved it, even egging me on to give it some extra gas. We arrived back at the house, where he had photo's with the car (his dad had to have one with him in the driving seat) got half the kids from the neighbourhood to come and look and announced to his mother "I didn't close my eyes once!", she was not so impressed ;o) Less so when i promised him a drive when he passes his test (thank god its five years away!)
Priceless
PS. i have been been reliably that TVR's now occupy the schoolyard conversations each lunchtime and I have to provide some posters for the bed room wall!

I remember one of my school mate's dad owning a brand new Griffith the year they got released. Being a 13 year old lad the only thing which gave me more of the horn was the bra section of Laura Ashley catalogue. I seem to remember being promised a drive when I passed my test some 5 or years in the future. Never did let me have a go but to be fair they did move about 300 miles away. However it did give me the burning desire to one day own one, a desire Im about to fulfill 13 years later.
I took my friends Son to his prom as the boys wanted sports cars.
He turned up in a TVR the rest in BMWs guess who looked best. Before dropping him off I took him for a quick thrash which his dad said he enjoyed very much. The only response I got out of my passenger was "you need to turn here" as we slowed down after racing a bike off the lights (and wining).
Lots of photos of him in tuc's sitting in the car and all the family the cat the neighbours cat.......etc.
