Tips, Recommendations and Ideas

2006 was my first year and we stayed south of Le Mans: LA CHARTRE SUR LE LOIR

It was quality staying there, amazing cars travelling through the square all day long (thursday - Sunday). Lazy days, lots of banter, lots of booze etc

I can not help but think we missed out though. What main events (other than the race) are there during the weekend? What 'Tips, Recommendations and Ideas' do you have?
