Went for a spin and............................

lost track of time. On Saturday I took the Chim out topless and headed west from Chester on the A55 into North Wales.

Lost track of time and got very into 'proceeding' along the coastal road and it's tunnels until that is the road stopped and I realised I had arrived at Holyhead in ...........Anglesey.

Anyone else had any similar "lapses of concentration"

The road doesn't end there. You drive onto the ferry and cross to Ireland, now that really is good!!

If you're plod, then 25 miles @ 35MPH speed limit = 42.8571428 minutes.

If not then (theoretically, of course ) 28 minutes on a 1979 Z1000 in 1983. (lots of twisties and stop-starting, you see)

Aye - a Z1000 MkII in a sort of maroon colour complete with Alfa41 noisy zorst and Z900 bars. luverly it was too!

In 1983 I had a Z650, with ace bars, bellmouths, a yoshimura 4 into 1, rear sets and a single seat ..... ahh boy racers. Now I have a Triumph T509 Speed Tripple to go with the Chimaera.

Ive a Z650(720) sat in my garage here. 1979 with 30k on the clock, as you can see i dont use it an awful lot!

I now have a BMW (getting old y'see) R850GS. 2000 with....wait for it....1600 miles on the clock. And you reckon you don't use yours much!! 533 miles per year compared to your inter-stellar (by comparison) 882
