Darn it all, I have just been given the old "This is to inform you that you are now at risk of redundancy" letter of commendation for work well done!!

Looks like I'll be in search of new employment in the very nearby future!

Edit to say - I am actually getting the next letter but it has been described by my new boss as "to discuss the next stages of the restructure process for you"

Yes, being a member of the no-job club myself I know how tedious day time TV is. Hence my post on "Spread Betting" earlier this week, may as well gamble my last pay packet.

Now I am not sure you really want to here this at the moment but here goes :

3 years ago the great redundancy depression landed on me too (kind of enforced / me taking it)and as much as I needed the new start I had had 10 years of lovely cosy corperate life being looked after with good money trips round the world and v nice cars.

Well 3 years on I am running my own business as a consultant in the same industry (FMCG) sorting out all the problems that were in the businesses when I was there but no one could be ar*ed to sort out and launching big companys in new directions and new markets.

Never thought I would ever get to own a TVR or pay off mortgage. I have now had 3 TVR's and have nearly paid off the mortgage.
Now if some one had said I would have been in this situation 3 years ago when all that was apealing was the dole and the chance of winning the lottery, I would have laughed in their face and called them mad !!!!

So whats the point ? Well somethings happen for a reason and no matter how cr*p things look there is allways a chance for a new start just go for it.

Baically I was never brave enough to do my own thing and would have never started my own business if I had not been / taken redundancy so its done me a big favour and maybee it will do the same for you.

If you think about it all companies we work for or have worked for started off the same way, it just needs a bit of an initial gamble and dedication (I'd have Roy Castle singing now if he hadn't have passed away a few years ago).

It's what I'm doing, you might think it's stressfull but just imagine you never have to put up with the inane ramblings of a supposed "manager" (self styled on David Brent).
