Coverdale carpet set

Looking back through old threads on carpets, I saw that the full kit for the whole car (except door cards) from Coverdale was £200 for the normal carpet and £250 for the wool rich carpet.

Anyway, I Emailed them and have been told that they have recently put their prices up by 50% (they blame the oil price) so the set is now £294 or £375.

So...I guess I should have bought the set a couple of months ago...Doh!!!

I suppose it's still a reasonable price though.

Does anyone know if anyone else does a pre-cut set for the Chim?

I am in exactly the same postition, was just about to order from Coverdale based on what I found on here and then got the new price lists though accompanied by a similar email!

I too would be interested in finding another supplier...

So if the price of oil is affecting the cost of their carpets how come petrol is coming down??? Had the TVR carpet trade for too long now....Time for a new supplier me thinks.

Does this include the rear erm..parcel shelf and tranny tunnel? Lets get together for a bulk purchase!?

Man made fibres might be affected by oil prices ... and obviously transport costs have to be factored in. But 50%?

Maybe we'll soon see wool carpets being the boggo cheapy option, with a premium for "genuine nylon"!

Even allowing for cutting, edging and any other sundries that is incredibly hefty per-sqm.
Most likely they have realised this is a nice little earner as interest/enquiries have grown.
Plus to own/drive a car like thet they must be loaded.
