Never use the auto response, spammers will know you are real and will fill up your mailbox.

Have a good un.

Ash,

I don't suppose you know how to stop spams?

I get about 100 everyday! I get about 2000 mails after a week or 2 away and there will be about 20 that are actually for me!

Drives me insane.

Its my own domain name so they can send it to "anything @ gn1.co.uk" most annoyingly, my host server don't offer any solution.

Help would be nice.

Mozilla Thunderbird is free and has good spam filtering built in.

And now the spam engines are reading your post and have your real address... I'd remove that mate.

I own a domain name but they can only send to accounts I specifically set up. If "anything @ gn1.co.uk" has been set up by you, and you can live with deleting the account for a few days and losing the valid emails in that period, re-creating that account a few days later may solve the problem.

I was getting about 100 a day all of a sudden a couple of months back and just deleted the email account, rereated it about 4 days later and the spam was gone. May not always work for everyone but might be worth a try...

could have a crack at that, but I would worry about the ones I'd miss.

TBH, since my host changed my account to only accept my specific address, I have only had about 4 in the last 4 hours. Normally that would be about 40!!

Seems to have worked.

Thx
