Well not the screen, but you know what I mean. Running on Microsoft Windows XP 2002, anyone know how to fix it?

If you mean you have black borders round the picturey bit on the screen in front of you, there should be a set of buttons on the monitor itself to allow you to shift the picture left and right and things. Have fun figuring out the onscreen display menu

Just click on the space next to the time and date and you can drag it back where it should be

If you mean the display's shifted round 90 degrees it's quite simply a case of going into the display properties and setting the resolution so that the larger number comes before the smaller one ie 1024x768 and not 768x1024. Why some graphic cards allow you to set the display like that I do not know.

OK, if the image is rotated 90 degrees left or right, then there are two things to do. Assuming you dont have a tablet PC, then the OSD on the monitor (probably a flat panel jobbie) will have a screen rotate option, that you need to fiddle with to get the screen back in the right place.
Second thing is find out which dickhead in the office thought it was funny while you were in the loo, and is sitting there like the tw@t from the fast show smirking. Then drop him.

The ones I used to deal with were actually CRT monitors, took me ages to work out what had happened much to the amusement of the Primary School kids at the school where it happened

This is easy

Simply press CTRL and ALT and the side arrow, left or right, or even up or down, depending which way you want the screen to rotate, keep doing that until it looks right (screen will go black for a second dont worry about that)

Then disbale hotkeys in the graphics driver to stop it happening again

Ok I'm on a different computer now, the original one is now the right way around but the computer reset itself and is now coming up with Warning Input Signal out of Range

Ha! Doesnt work on my lappy, but then I just pick it up and turn it sideways.
Advice summary so far is:
Could be hardware buttons on monitor
Could be resolution
Could be software on video drivers

Best bet is find out who turned it sideways, and get them to fix it

Unless it screwed up by itself which is not unknown after a crash/restart.

But Stacey didnt mention a crash, just that all of a sudden, her screen was the wrong way round. First suspect would be a colleague...probably with a zany tie on.
