can somebody tell me the procedure of resetting it as i want to run a new cable and will need to disconnect the battery side ,

what do i need to do when i re power up as i was lead to believe you need to press the alarm fob as soon as its reconected hope it makes sense

Yep as soon as you reconnect it will try to lock itself, wind windows up etc. At this point press and hold blipper and it will then run through a sequence of flashing lights etc. Not too tricky as long as you remember to have the blipper with you and not in the car with the doors shut!!

am i right in thinking one of the the big fuse wires comes from the battery anfd the other the alternator ?? i'm sure i'll be finding out soon enough lol

I have never had to reset when disconnecting battery - I always leave door open so I dont get locked out.
