97P Chimaera, a bit fed up with vinyl dash and console.... what's the best way to get it "Leathered"? tried scrappies no luck - think that re-trim may be expensive!

Anyone got any advice??

If you trapse across to the S forum you'll find there's an excellent thread by 'shmern' www.pistonheads.net/gassing/topic.asp?t=29730&f=11&h=0 who's re-trimming his S's dash himself in leather. There's a very good link to a photo diary of the work being done.
If you fancy a challenge then perhaps its not too dificult to undertake yourself, the Chim dash being quiet a bit smaller area than the S's, it may be worth speaking to him either way. Just thought.

I recently contacted AJ Trimming, following a couple of other people here suggesting them, more out of interest really, how much it would be for a full retrim for my Griff, reply below:

"Thanks for your enquiry. I have detailed the various prices below.

To replace the carpets completely £600 - 800
To retrim two seats in full leather £500 Approx
To recover the centre console £100
To recover the dash £200"

website with contact info is

www.ajtrimming.co.uk

Don't take my word for these prices, I was just asking for "ballpark" figures - don't know if they're particularly good or bad value either, haven't shopped around yet.
