Any users of this phone on here? Its coming up to renewal time (and assuming they dont try to shaft me with a crap contract) I will be staying with orange. Been using SPV's for a couple of years and like the look of the M600 but cant decide whether its actually any good or if i am just being seduced by technology as usual. If not the M600 any suggestions?

cheers

I have the M600 and it is great. I know there was a topic in the P&P a couple of weeks ago on this phone and a few others have it and love it.

The M3100 is out now and has a slide out keyboard and 3G. This is the sucessor to the M600. If that isn't too expensive then i would get that but otherwise the M600 is great.

Really happy with my M600, after porting my number to Orange and getting it for free

I've used Windows Smartphones before and they were too limited, while most PDA phones are too bit to just slip in a pocket, fine if you're wearing a jacket, but not if you are out normally. The M600 mixes the two qualities well and has all the compatability you're likely to need (Edge, Bluetooth, DirectPush, WiFi) so it's really doing the job for me.

My only complaint is that it is very slow at times though, as it's only got a 200 MHz processor. If you've left applications running you can wait 5 seconds from pressing the answer key to being able to speak to the caller, which until you've got used to it makes you sound a bit dumb!

Also, 3G connectivity would have been nice, but I can live without that.

Bit strange that the M500 had a 400Mhz processor. A small step backwards I feel...

I guess it's a form-factor thing, the M600 has all the goodies under the skin, so perhaps space, heat or both were an issue.

Or maybe they wanted to lower the price and make it more accesible?
