I picked up my new bike this morning with a degree of apprehension.

Having spent 20 years riding sports bikes, the prospect of riding something less aggressive was not very appealing. Having been forced into it due to having knackered knees, which have now finally called it a day on any acute riding position, this even includes Yam Fazers etc.

However 'Happy Days' very pleasantly surprised, the Multistrada has turned out to be a bit of a dark horse. Whilst not having the outright performance of a R1/Mille etc it goes far better than I imagined. Handles very well, brakes well and dare I say it would not be disgraced on a track day. Lastly it is wonderfully comfortable which was the point of the change.

So now waiting for the Termignoni's to make it sound like a proper Ducati.

If the $$$ are tight, just buy the official Ducati de-cat link pipe for about £250.LoOks better and makes even std cans sound way better.

Ballon - out of interest, why did you chop in the Tuono?

I only ask because I was considering one of these as my next bike and would view a multistrada as a very different option. I'm guessing you just fancied a change, but if you had issues with the bike, I'd be v interested to know what they were.

Cheers!
