IE is driving me nuts (as usual)

OK so internet explorer on my laptop is doing a really odd new thing, where it jerks down or up the page when using the up or down arrows, this is quite offputting especially when trying to read a long post or something.

My connection speed is 2.2mb/s, which i believe is reasonable?

A little help for a computer numpty?

You could try unticking the box for 'use smooth scrolling' in tools/internet options/advanced.

Hmm it is a bit better, but it still doesnt scroll down flawlessly though. It jumps.

That happens to me occasionally. Its not your connection speed and it's not IE.

Do you have an external mouse? It happens to me sometimes when my mouse is plugged in and I knock it either while typing or while using the laptop's touchpad.

Using the mouse for a few seconds (Using both right and left buttons and scrolling with the mouse wheel and middle button) Once your external mouse has taken control of the page... its usually ok for a week or two again!
