My wife is after a calorie counter that will work when she is cycling.

I know you can get pedometers that do this when running/walking but is such a thing available when cycling?

Also any recommendations for a good supplier of water bottles/holders for bikes?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

You could get a Heart Rate Monitor - many of those include calorie burning settings and would be more accurate than a pedometer

A HRM is a much better proposition.

I bought one of these :-
www.gaiamdirect.co.uk/content/product.aspx?productID=6632&rCat=74

It has calorie counter etc.

Use it in conjunction with a cyle computer, a cheap one will do, and it's all you'll ever need....

Try Halfords - they have some reduced to about £19. HRM with calorie count.
Ebay probably has them as well. DOnt bother with a 'polar' one as they are overpriced and have the basic models all do the same thing.
