Lets hear it for the 517BHP Cerb!!

In case you hadn`t seen yesterdays RR results Craigs purple monster made a whooping 517bhp at the Surrey RR, apparently the run had to be aborted due to excessive wheel spin, this was on only 40% NoS as well so there is a little bit left Well done Craig and to Paul at Austec who after last weeks run has done his magic again, the purple beast didn`t sound that healthy last Sunday, and there was i happy with 339 bhp from the little Tam

If the run wasnt 100% succesful, then the 517bhp is underreading what she can do... I'd suggest he hits Abbey's hu-dyno-pack and see what she pulls if thats what he wants, but I still think running with NOS on the rollers isnt really recommended, based on all the big-boy ricers and yank-tanks, tend to keep NOS for the strip not for the rollers.... but hey, we all know Craig aint one to follow normal trends!

There is nothing wrong with running NOS on the rollers Ash, just the strapping we use that enables us to run big hp cars pulls the car down onto the dyno, the more power, the more the straps pull the car down, hence why we only did one run with the Nitrous, i did'nt want to blow a tyre. If the arches were clear, there is no reason why we could'nt get a 100% Nos run out of the car.

Is there a run without Nos? To work out the percentages for 100% Nitrous Via the difference.

Fair enough, just I notice most guys running big hp dont hit rolling roads with NOS... because they just cant get the traction and dyno-brakes put too much shock on the drivetrain when nos does kick in, but thats mostly for drag-racing instant-shot setups, I guess its a different ball-game with Craigs progressive setup... but good on you to pull-back from the run after noticing the clearance problems! you've save Craig a potential headache! so I guess he's gonna be rubbing that arch down further? have fun!!!!

The secret is to let the run begin before you hit full throttle.. less shock to the system then.

big power Turbo cars with Nos are much much harder to run, because the Nos spools the turbo so quickly.

A great day, and congrats again too Craig for securing "The Win" even if it was all for fun.
Bit dissapointed with mine as have lost nearly 30 horses since February - where did they go? Hopefully nothing a bit of a service and tune up won't sort.

Congrats Craig, 517bhp and 460lb/ft with it not fully set-up is awesome. Did you run 40% of a possible 300bhp nitrous? As 300bhp of nitrous would equate to about 200-230bhp on a N/A engine? Bet it was the best looking car there as well........

Better news is that without nitrous the Cerbs had a clean sweep, with three over 400bhp and fairly good torque figures

Wouldn't have been happy about the figures the Sagaris produced though
