VIPER MEET AND RWYB AT SANTAPOD IN MAY

Just a short post to say that i am sorting a RWYB Day at SantaPod for May,and get the ball rolling this year or well end up doing nowt!!!!!I,m sorting details and will post when i have more info.A few of us have slight mods done over the winter so a good chance to see if its all been worth it!I would guess the usual suspects wil be up for it,Spa is off as i,m not prepared to spend time and effort is there is no interest..sorry.As said will post a date in the next day or so,would be good to get a bit of feedback,although i,m going it alone if i have to as i have a few mods i need to test on the car.

I would be interested in a RWYB. I have a challenge with my brother this year in his Caterham to see who's fastest - what kind of time would you expect to post? I saw an MPG the other day with a Viper v Lamborghini and it posted 12.4s (and won).

With regards Spa - I am organising a trip later this year for the MR2 Drivers Club. We're off to to the Nürburgring (31/08/03) then a day at Spa (01/09/03). The Spa trip is a BookaTrack Event (www.bookatrack.com). Would be really nice to have more Vipers join me. Will be 4 day trip. Contact me if you want anymore info.

went to Santapod a couple a years ago with Nad, she was
running mid 12's on a dryish track with a terminal speed of about 118mph. Think she will run a tad quicker this year !

With the NOS set up and other winter mods,i would like to see low to mid 10,s for the 1/4 and speeds around 125-130.But hoping is one thing!!!!!New set up should give me around 700 BHP.I,m setting a date for 18 may at Santa Pod,with a club stand/display maybe but will need to speak to Paul.L and SantaPod about this.So mark this in your diaries folks.Will post more info when i have it.(Well thats 1 Viper meet sorted)

I'll be 'doing' Santa Pod for Mopar nats 9th / 10th Aug. Probably try and make it for the 18th May, although may do Avon Park in May?

But events are hard to organise without communication.

So new Viper law if you have a date for ANY EVENT that we could attend please copy myself and Viper on these that way we can get them on the web and invite non web owners by post

Also Beaulea have contacted them re a club stand in the arena one Sunday.

Don't get frustrated it all seems to happen at once.

Santapod has one section of concrete for a outdoor display, close to the grandstands and track, they had plenty of concourse mopars parked the time i went, with a few trade stands (mopar weekend) for sure what you'd get on just a RWYB day

Chatted to SantaPod today O.K for club stand on the 18 May,looking for some Vipers now!Could someone let me know that kind and size of banners as they would like to know,also if anyone wants to bring there car but is not to keen on the idea of thrashing the nuts of it over the 1/4 mile don,t be put off as we need cars for display/club stand.Once again more info when i have it.

Change of plan!Been checking out your link Neil and i think the American Nationals on the 17 May would be a better bet as we might see some more interesting cars and other club stands with big yanks,also a little worried that SantaPod will be full of boy racers as it is only a RWYB day with no other features going on as far as i know.Im going to ring "Avon Park Raceway" on Monday to see if i can book a slot for us all,sorry about this but i think it will be a better event .Check outwww.shakespearecountyraceway.com/events.htm for info on how to get there.

just a thought,there are a few days this year that we have hired the pod ,saturdays ,and it is only open to ukstreetracers and you will have to regester but the track will be fully prepped and glued ect .ask rich at streetmachine or pete at ukstreetracers.com.
[ps.whos viper gts have i seen a few times on a24 nr horsham,looks cool by the way.]

ummmm ,it was blue with silver stripes,have you all seen video of twin turbo viper running 9s.dont get any ideas viper people 8litres is surely enough isnt it!!!!!!!!!.ok i guess any thing goes.

blue and silver never seen one, it wasn't a factory job
unless they did silver on sapphire blue (dark almost black)
