Donnington and a thrilling ride home!

Wow what a great day yesterday! I went up to Donnington to the See Red day. Standing 20/30 feet from the start line getting blown away by the GP Cars from the 70's and 80's was the highlight! That noise is just awesome and so addictive! Went up with my brother in law who has a 996 C4, me in the Griff. Had a a couple of young uns shout at me after parking up at Donnington and hitching ride in the Porker "Nice Griff Mate". He He!
We drove back down to London together on the M1...usual traffic. So at Junction 11 we left to deviate returning back down the A41 via some really nice B roads. On the drive I was quite chuffed with myself that my car was evenly matched with the 996, as being a 4.3 I wasn't quite sure although I have Nitron's and a MA chip which is a big plus. Though my brother in law has had aftermarket cup suspension put on plus a new engine fairly recently. Anyway we got to Pedley Hill near Little Gaddesdon and a Ariel Attom joined in the fun. Great run up the A41. The Atom was actually not a huge deal quicker but then he was two up which must be the equivelent of having an Elephant sitting in the Griff! Getting up into early three figure speeds with the roof off is like nothing else with that noise. I was buzzing for the rest of the evening! Isn't Griff ownership awesome!
