I see there are a few Z4M Roadsters on the market for 36-37k. Is there a bit of oversupply vs. demand on the Roadster? I don't see any Coupes yet though.

06 platers for 37k - very appealling.

A lot of them look like ex-demos, and it's true that they look like a stonking bargain. Methinks that a lot of prosepcitve buyers are keeping their wallet in their pocket until the Coupes are in a similar position.

Just looked more closely - seems the cheaper ones are 'VAT Qualifying'. Crafty dealers. Must be ex-demos like you say. Best wait for a non-ragged version to come along :-)

I tihnk so, it's hella weak. As if you're not going to notice that the price has gone up by 17.5% when you show up!

Wrong! 'VAT Qualifing' is advertised as it makes used cars benefical if your going to lease them... the price quoted in most instances is INCLUSIVE of VAT

Well, not actually "Wrong!", because the statement is true that I think it's the case. My perception may be incorrect, but the statement of what I thought wasn't!

So what's the actual difference between a car listed as VAT Qualifying and one that isn't?

VAT Qualifying cars are vehicles are owned by a 3rd party (in this case BMW Finance who the dealer normally has a lease agreement with)who owns but does not actually use the vehicle for their own purposes or soley for Business use (no personal useage) ie a BMW press car)

The Sole benefit of a car being VAT qualifying is if you wish to take out a lease or contract hire agreement to purchase the car
