Best of luck. It's a great feeling riding away from the test centre if you pass!

Just remember that we do not tolerate failure.

There's some motivation for you.

All the best mate - just remember you can make as much noise as you like when you do your U-turn (I mean rev the nuts off the bike, don't scream).

I did my CBT 2 weeks ago. You really do have to be a right muppet to fail. No pressure then

Thanks for that. hopfully pass both and by next week have the problem of what bike to get and shall i sell my daily drive. i got 3 cars ( mine the wifes and a kit car) and see no need for a Bike as well. The costs are not that much of a problem but I would prefer to just have a bike or car and use the wifes car or works that i have access to.

Just don't want to lose 10NCb and start from scratch with bike incurance

Am looking at a bike for some thrilling fun... KTM 640 or Aprillia SVX. However also interested in Suzi GSR 600 and GSX-R750 so will see. Think I'll prob start on the KTM or similar to get really proficient on the road and in handling and then maybe progress. Will decide after test rides!!

What, you mean you can actually fail it then?

There was a Polish girl in our group when I did my CBT. She could barely speak a word of English, and was getting quite upset at not being able to grasp riding a scooter. There was simply no way she was going out on the road. The instructor was brilliant with her, very calm and softly spoken. Credit where it's due she gave it a good go, but just couldn't grasp the basics of balance, let alone anything else. She didn't 'fail' as such. The instructor recommended that she needed some extra one-to-one tuition. I wonder if she got through it in the end?
At the other end of the spectrum were two teenage lads. Both had scooters laying in wait as soon as they got home. All they talked about was how fast they'd go, and what mods they were going to make (all illegal of course!!!) I wonder if they're still alive!!!!

I had one failure on my course who came back for extra "road" work! I also had 2 scooter boys who's road sense was far from adequate to my experienced eyes. I am trying to remember when I got my first "bike" a FS1E years ago (unrestricted, of course ) - was I really that crap on the road. The answer, possibly, was yes (although I doubt it)!!!
