Anyone watch the WSBK at the weekend ?

I think they got the same problem as F1 has/had. Dominant team (Ducati) - first 6 places ! No overtaking ! (I didn't see a single overtaking manoeuvre) BORING BORING BORING !!

Let's hope that the Moto GP gives us a bit more entertainment !!!!???

It's only because Ducati are the only factory team in it this year. Other manufacturers such as Honda (who have gone to the British Superbike Championship), Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha are still developing bikes. The latter three will be 1000cc fours unlike the Ducati and Honda V-twins. The BSB has become a testing ground for the 1000cc's as the factories (particularly Suzuki) are providing factory support.

To make it better for this year would be tricky but next year should be much better, in the meantime revel in the fact that we have at least 3 British riders capable of being on the podium or even winning races. Can't expect that in F1 this year can we.

Cheer on Carl Fogarty too with his new Foggy Petronas FP1. Ex-Champ Troy Corser and Brit James "warning rider may eject at anytime" Haydon are riding.

Forgot to add - reason they've all up sticks for this year is that they have all been developing the MotoGP fourstroke's (HOnda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki) and some of the technology may come accross to the Superbikes!!!! Although Ducati have a new MotoGP bike and are still in WSB - doesn't make sense really.

Agreed it should be good fun though....

Rossi will stil pi$$ it though.

Saw the repeat on Eurosport last night. Compared to last year, very dull. Ducati, Ducati, Ducati, Ducati, .etc.

Foggy bike is a looker, hope the team can get some straight line speed out of it to compete better.

Some guy running a VTR 1000 SP2, Even without works backing, surely that thing should be running in the top 6.

It's not a ex-works racing VTR SP2 (Like Colin Edwards 2002 bike), it's Mark Heckles bike from last year which is just a road going bike with very basic racing mods. Walter Tortorglio is riding it this year so it's very unlikely to feature.

To make it more interesting? Throw in a chapter of Hell's Angels on Harley Fat Boys riding the opposite way round the circuit under the influence of Steppenwolf. Don't watch much superbikes myself but I know that it is getting a bit Ducati=Ferrari and looks like a procession. Nothing (except banger racing) is exempt from this current motorsport plague.

I can think of 2 categories that are fun. British Superbikes for 2 wheel freaks and Aussie V8's for 4 wheel petrolheads!

You need Sky for the Aussie racing though.

Been camping every year since ,,,, a long time. For the first time this year not up for it. People are getting more unfriendly and the loo situation was the worst ever.

Gona camp elsewhere all 14 of us and have a projector to play it on a screen. Done deal without the agro.
