Has my local Scamera van been upgraded?

From time to time the local Plod wheel out their stripey van and park it in a layby to fight some crime. Whoopee-do. A few tens of Ks and a doughnut muncher living on my tax and achieving nothing.

Saw it again today - luckily it's easy to spot and I was only doing about 35 anyway, so no problem. However as I got closer to the back I saw the words 'Video Surveillance' on the back. So there's more to this nasty than a big black box at the front then?

What's it doing, and will they be upset since I put the hazards on and crept past at 15mph?

my last NIP from a van said words to the effect of

'there is no escape. We have video suveillance to prove that you have committed a crime against the peoples republic of Blair'

so i guess they like to video their victims too...

Someone told me there was a f***ing video surveillance van in Guildford high street the other day, in the pedestrianised bit. Bliar's new surveillance society at work.
