Its so long ago, that I've forgotten what < and > mean in HTML.

Enclosing a word or phrase with those characters makes it disappear, which is nice, but is this PH or IE playing silly devils? Sorry for utter irrelevance, just curious.

They describe a tag in html. Ted made the posts html-proof , but not the preview. This is why they disappear in preview, but appear as normal in posts.
