EVO/CRIKEYMIKEY
Discussion
Haven't seen the finished piece myself yet (still been too lazy to subscribe) . I helped Roger with a lot of the technical information (though whether he's given me a credit or not, I don't know) and took 'Larry' to Norwich for the photoshoot.
I'm a huge fan of EVO, and have always been particularly impressed with the standard of Andy Morgan and Kenny P's photography, so I was only too happy to help out.
The amount of effort involved in taking good studio shots is immense. Hours of fannying about with lights and reflectors, to try and get just the right effect on the surfaces of the subject vehicle. Then everything is moved out of the way while the car's position is changed, and the process repeated. Very intense work.
I used to think they just plonked a car in the centre and then walked around it taking snaps (albeit with a decent camera). How wrong I was!
