Can Am 720 video at Sebring
Discussion
OK, sorry for the poor quality. I will try another edit at better quality.
A couple of notes:
1: I only had 20 miles on the car before bringing it to the track so I was taking it easy and never pushed it more that 70%.
2: I was lined up behind a Porsche Carrera GT for my first hot lap before the black flag came out because there was oil on the track.
3: The smoke was from too much oil and it was not warm before I jumped on the track. I drained some and it was fine after that.
4: I let the F430 pass me because my old instructor was in the car and I wanted to find his line. It was a joke to catch him and then pass.
5: If you listen to the video you will hear something dragging on the ground. My AC line was dragging for a few laps. If that broke loose then there are other things that could have loosened so I called it a day with out ever really pushing the car to what it can do.
6: If you can see the speedo you will notice that it is not working properly. It is showing about 1/2 the actual speed.
7: All in all a great day. Now things are being tightened up and I a really looking forward to another day at the track.

Your file size is too big at 300+mb. Are you using Windows Movie Maker in XP to edit your footage? If so re-run Movie Maker, import your original edited full resolution video, in the task pane select finish movie, select the 'save to' folder, select 'Show more choices', then select 'Other settings' and scroll down the list of options selecting the option 'Video for Broadband(512kbps)', click next and the movie clip will be resaved, compressing it much more than 300mb but still offering a good compromise of file size & quality.
Hope you get on ok with this, if not email me through my profile and you could email me a copy of the full file, and I would be happy to compress it and return to you for posting on PH TV. Good luck
