StreetPilot i3 Going Weird

My i3 went a bit strange over the weekend, losing satellite reception in a perfectly clear reception area and not getting it back for ages. The areas I know are OK, as we've got two units and the other one seems OK.
I've seen it three times now (twice when navigating, once when just viewing the map), so wondered if anyone has a fix... It's not common to a particular car either.
When just viewing the map I managed to record a speed of over 300mph in a diesel Passat which was quite impressive, the display kept updating as if I was going staight on through fields!

I've got a feeling it's something to do with heathed/reflective screens, as the unit causing the problems in now back in the TVR and working fine.
Bizarrely it worked for a month solid in the Passat until problems occured, then two months in the Clio (reflective screen) - so I'm wondering if perhaps I'd been lucky where I'd initially mounted it, then for some reason changed positon and the unit got confused... Even so, reporting 300+ MPH is very confused!
