Is this normal?

Had the car seviced a couple of weeks ago and have been using every day since.Noticed that the oil pressure from cold is about 60lb,when driving along at 2500rpm pressure is 40lb.At idle 850-1000rpm pressure is between 28-30.Cars done 32,000 mls.Do i need a new spring relief valve?

I would suggest a new spring as they wear as all springs do.

Mines roughly 60-50-40. Dropped to 35 at idle in the heat of Le Mans after a good thrashing.

Mines 90 cold, 80 driving (motorway) & 40 tick over.

As you mentioned, all your figures will go up with a new spring. Some people change them every service (I keep forgetting to ask)

Sounds like a new spring is needed, and is easy to fit. Changed mine about a month ago the pressure now is cold 80, warmed up 60 and after abuse55/60. I think there around 4 to 5 pounds.

Could someone possibly describe where the valve is, or even better, a pic??

I'm spending the weekend renewing things on the Cerb, so I might fit this one in aswell.

Oop. Cancel that. Just checked, and it was done on last service a month or so ago.

what oil are you using?

I normally use Mobil 1,but Austec done the last service and i think they use forte products.
