Help! -McAfeeprotection has slowed internet

Ive just upgraded to McAfee total protection and my internet connection is hardly working its so slow. Ive had to disable all the internet protection just to send this!

Any idea which element of the several internet features in McAfee is doing this?

Also when I go to my email it "processes" entire inbox every time before it will load the outlook screem - Ahhhhhhhhhh!!

EDITED to say Ive traced it down to Phishing - "blacklist/whitelist lookups to detect fraudulent websies" ..........if I disable that "little bit" it works fine! Is that a bis issue

Yep. Works brilliantly doesn't it? Total Protection from everything, even connecting to the outside bloody world.

If you are a home user, ditch it. Their are better programs out in the world which cost a lot less than the McAfee/Symantec cruft. AVG/NOD32 are some of the best virus scanners money can't buy (if you see my point) AVG even does a pay-per-use subscription version that has greater functionality.
ZoneAlarm, which I personally don't like but a lot of others here use, has a free version which is again a brilliant firewall.

If your a corporate SA. You should know better and shame on you. Get your cisco and checkpoint sales spuds on the phone, AVG have corporate/volume licensing.
