Alarming problems

Picked up my Cerb today. Doing 70 mph on the M11 and my alarm goes off.

I stopped the car and pressed the stop button and then the start button with no re-occurrance.

Any one had similar problems? Any idea how to trace these sort of problems on a Cerb?

May well give Offord a ring, but it would be nice to know.

Sorry chap, the simple answer is TADTS. Don't nick the car in the first place

Hi Si,

Apart from the alarm, that i can't really help with,i did have similar once when i went to pull away, but guessed i possibly rearmed it by mistake and never had it happen again.
So will you be venturing down the Ace Cafe next friday.

What is TADTS? I've heard of TADA - Taking and Driving Away.

PS If I was going to knick the car, I would be driving a little faster than 70!!!

Back on topic:

Previous posts mention alarm problems whilst stationary (nothing whilst driving) and linked to battery problems. I think this unlikely since I had already done, 70 miles and the battery had received a good charge.

If Offord can't help then perhaps Carl Baker is the man, he seems to come heartily recommended.

Lets hope the alarm problem is a one off, if not I might get Carl Baker to have a look. I spoke to him regarding getting a Sat-Nav system installed and came across very well and appears to be recommended by many Cerb PHers.

In the end Offords installed the Kenwood Sat-Nav system for conveniance's sake.

I'll see if I can get a night pass for the Ace Cafe, the girlfriend is worried about being a TVR widow (must re-write my will BTW).

Taking the Cerb for a run to my parents.

Will have to be the next visit to the Ace Cafe.

TADTS - They All Do That Sir

Edited to add that mine used to go off whilst driving, albeit infrequently, and the general feeling on PH was the alarm sounder itself was on the fritz. Most people suggested getting a new sounder (about £100) but I haven't got round to doing it yet.

Or whether I should hold on for something more serious.
