996 instrument bezel trim
Discussion
Can anyone advise if the aftermarket silver bezel trim offered, amongst others, by Design 911 are a straight swap for the existing instrument surround or simply fits over it?

Reason I ask is if they are a swap and the originals can be taken off, I would prefer to have the fun of painting the originals myself rather than pay over 100GBP for ‘one made earlier’.
If they are a straight swap, any ideas how to get the existing trim off in one piece?

The trim is designed to fit directly over the top of the existing unit - and they are merely held in place with glue.
Its a bit of a Blue Peter way of doing things, although I fitted them to my 996 a month or so ago, it was easy to do and the look of the largely black binnacle has been transformed
