Hi all,

Its my first post in here - taking my first steps into porsche ownership and picking up the keys to a 987 Boxster S later this week! whoo hoo!

The car doesnt have PCM fitted, so I need to find a hands free solution. Can anyone recommend a retrofit phone solution that wont completely spoil the interior look? Bluetooth would be useful.

THanks in advance

M

I had a Parrot fitted in my last car - bluetooth, pair with phone and then connects whenever you get in and turn the ignition on. No nonsence, straight forward product - I'm thinking about one for my C2.

Agreed - I have Parrot in all my cars - easy to fit, work well with compatible phones....... Highly recommended....

The one I want is the CK3000 without the LCD - slightly less conspicuous, which is important given I park in South London and it doesn't take much to generate an unhealthy interest in your car.

There's a link here:

Thanks for the offer of fittment, but location in central Londond would be ideal for me. Any suggestions?

Before you go for it think about this. Does bluetooth help you. I have always found that a dead simple hands free kit you plug your phone into when you get in the car works best. Cheap as chips and well fitted obviously. Bluetooth has been a pain for me. Phone sometimes links sometimes doesnt, links when you are not expecting it such as when you are standing outside the car, and lastly doesnt charge the phone up. Who needs it.banghead

On my Boxster I got the mobile phone preparation at the factory, kit installed by the dealer, seat out and amplifier unit put underneath. Doesnt work worth a damn due I think to no adequate aerial. I should just have bought the car straight and gone to a decent mobile phone outfit.

On a previous car Carphone Warehouse put in a kit which works through the speakers, cuts off radio if its on, no problems ever.
