TVR Mania 9 August Bruntingthorpe

Those of you that attended Mania last year will know what a great event the Cambridgeshire region put on at Duxford. Unfortunately they are unable to offer this event in 2003. Following discussions with the committee of the club we are pleased to announce that TMS and Guglielmi Motorsport will be promoting TVR Mania at Bruntingthorpe on 9th August. This will be an official TVR Car Club national event and we hope that a very large number of TVR owners will attend. Building on the success of the Duxford event we will be introducing an element of inter-regional competition to the day. Bruntingthorpe is probably the ideal location for such an event as it centrally located within the UK and has massive areas of good quality hard surfaces essential for the large number of cars likely to attend. We are anticipating running one of the runways throughout the day offering timed sprints. In addition there will be an inter -region Autotest competition as well as a national concours competition. Bruntingthorpe offer a range of exciting activities including double engined karts, off road driving, and articulated lorry driving all of which will form part of the day. Various race teams and trade stands will be in attendance in the mania village in close proximity to the all the activities. On site catering and good quality loos will be provided and the event will culminate with a hog roast into the evening where the prize giving will take place.
The pricing of this event will follow the policy we have adopted for our other events i.e. as cheap as possible!

Sounds good and a nice change from Duxford

Sounds good, and with Goodwood FoS on July 13th and Revival on Sept 7th it's looking more difficult squeezing in a two week sunny summer holiday for MrsB ! Rich...

Was wondering a day or two ago when Mania might get announced - looking forward to it already!

Anyone got ideas as to when Back Home might be announced? I just missed it last year.

I think Back Home is 16-18 May. Details will be revealed in Sprint soon.

Bruntingthorpe is home to several historic aircraft too, including an Avro Vulcan, a Beech 18 and an English Electric Lightning fighter that occasionally burns down the runway! Unfortunately it's not allowed to fly. Think we can arrange a sprint along the runway with it?
