Does anyone / has anyone own(ed) a Dobermann ?

Mrs N17 TVR & I are off to look at puppies on saturday. My preference is for a dog (to be neutered) rather than a bitch.

We have done a fair bit of research, but any advice or recommendations would be most welcome.

p.s. we have 4 wheel drive capability so it won't be transported in the back of the Tiv.

Look out for rusty wishbones, and a damp nose. Also make sure it has all the paperwork. If there are odd noises or sounds from the rear walk away. Test as many as possible and make sure you get the biggest you can afford if not you will always regret it later.

Do we have our wires crossed here?

LOL Mark

Personal preferance is for neutered males (DOGS that is you perverts! No not that either I mean as a pet......... oh bollocks never mind) if for a pet as opposed to a working dog. Very often bitches can be quite aggresive.

Thanx guy's.

Can't wait to see the breeders face when I ask for the dog to be put up on the ramp for an inspection.

I have also been told that the bitches are a lot more 'protective' of their owners, was interested in any verification of this.

Keep 'em coming
