Nope... rover-v8.com is John Eales ( je-developments). although I believe he may have been involved with JE-engineering in the past.

I've delt with both companies.

Probably set up the original company and moved on.

John Eales did indeed start up JE Engineering but sold it at a later date. I think lots of people wanted him to start up again so he set up JE Developments.

Snap ! apart from the hotwire setup.

Mine's a 4.5 too. I previously had a hotwire 400SE which had a Mark Adams map and a printout at Power+ at 251 bhp, but this thing blows it in to the weeds, any revs, any gear. Spoke to J.E. about the spec but they couldn't confirm exactly what went in to it, but they did say that it was a converted 3.9 and it would have had a 101 cam. Did you commission the engine yourself or did you buy the car as is?
Curiously yours

Hi Wyn !! I bought mine as it was and yes JE Engineering were a bit vague about things but they did try !! Fortunatley got more out of the original owner, it started life as a 3.9 but then they bored it out so it would be a 4.2,then with a longer throw crank makes it a 4.5. Stage 3 big valve heads, balanced tuftrided crank, re-mapped, etc, etc. I'm sure yours would basically be the same. If yours is not 'hotwire' was it it now ??
Anymore more pics of your TVR ??!!

Regards,

Simon.

It's the flapper type but with the Jag airflow meter and an adjustable ECU.

The car is a credit to Lee (L33 on here) he put the engine in and the wheels on from a crashed wedge back in Feb this year.

Many many years ago. Don't mention John Eales with JE Engineering and vice versa. a lot of bad blood. Virtually all the 520 development has been done by John Eales (Developments) including the supercharged version. He is definitely the MAN IMHO.

Nice Chap to deal with as well, He did some work on the original 4ltr in my tuscan and I use on of his RV8 - T5 bell housings, and alternator mounts etc..

Too right, spoke to him on the phone a couple of times and was more than happy to discuss a few queries I had even though he was obviously busy.
