Bugger, we'll be at Rockingham all weekend - might have to record it all and re-run it on a quiet weekend over the winter

They had a massive crash during the Development Series race today.

www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,,20534933-23770,00.html

These weren't the actual V8 Supercar Championship cars and drivers, but the V8 Development Series, which is the feeder series to the V8SC.

Both drivers are in very serious condition. Hope they recover without complications.

The top ten drivers will contest in the Top-10 Shoot Out tomorrow, which determines the grid positions for the fastest ten drivers for Sunday's race. Bets are that Greg Murphy's all time lap record of 2:06.8954 will be bettered.

On a trivia note, do some of those names seem familiar? Well they should.
F Coulthard is Fabian Coulthard, the nephew of F1 star, David Coulthard. D Brabham is obviously the son of Australian F1 legend, Sir Jack Brabham.

Rare for there not to be any ex-BTCC drivers in there. (with the obvious exception of the Radish and Brabham).

Great to see my old freind Garth with provisional pole. His Dad used to help with my race car when GT was racing karts. Garth was leading the championship until recently, hopefully another win at Bathurst will see him back in contention.

Slower than yesterday. But the fact that these cars need to be in good condition for tomorrow's 161 lap race might be why.
