First service done at over 2000 miles...

Just looking at a car that had its first service done at just over 2000 miles which I hear is far from the recommended interval...

People saying the warranty will be invalidated is irrelevant because the warranty has lapsed (or will by the time I buy). So as long as BMW service the thing and give a clean bill of health before I buy, it should be ok?

Or am I missing something? FYI i will not be buying a warranty extension so again that doesn't matter....

Thoughts?

In your case it really doesn't mater as you aren't extending the warranty anyway.In my case i got a mixed answer but the important one came from my local BMW dealer who issued me with the warranty and that's all that counts.
