...Just another quickie. Was just changing something in the user settings when I noticed there was another account called ASP.NET A... I have never created this and have no idea how it got here. I've an idea its some sort of virus? I've deleted it anyway and there were no files stored in the account.

Anybody know what it was? Or how it got there?

Different programs and services often run under their own user accounts, these accounts only have the absolute bare minimum of access to the system as a security measure incase said program or service is compromised. Deleting these service accounts will usually cause something to stop working...

Ah, didn't know that. Well whatever asp.net was, it won't be anymore.

The ASPNET user account is created when the Microsoft .Net Framework is installed on your PC.

Thanks for that, I've reinstalled it just for the time being. Suppose it never caused any grief.
